LOS ANGELES (AP) — In a story Dec. 11 about emails leaked in the Sony hacking scandal, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Sony CEO Michael Lynton made a disparaging remark about Kevin Hart in a leaked email. [...] the remark was made by Clint Culpepper, president of Sony's Screen Gems unit. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Oscar-winning producer Scott Rudin apologized Thursday for calling Angelina Jolie a "spoiled brat" and making racially offensive jokes about President Obama's presumed taste in movies. "Private emails between friends and colleagues written in haste and without much thought or sensitivity, even when the content of them is meant to be in jest, can result in offense where none was intended," Rudin said in a statement to industry site Deadline after the Obama remarks surfaced. Beyond the scintillating behind-the-scenes peek at the film business, Hollywood is somewhat divided on how to feel to about the unflattering exposure and what it means for Sony. Many are concerned about the ethics of diving into the leaked assets, which have included films, executive salaries, and the Social Security numbers of nearly everyone who has received a paycheck from Sony.
