Alicia Vikander is about to follow in Angelina Jolie's footsteps. The Oscar winner for "The Danish Girl" has signed on to play Lara Croft in "Tomb Raider" for MGM, Warner Bros. and GK Films, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will recount the first adventure for the young and untested Croft. Vikander reportedly beat out many actresses, including "Star Wars" leading lady Daisy Ridley, for the role, which Jolie played in two previous movies -- "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" (2003). Last year was a breakout year for Vikander, who also attracted attention for her performance in the drama "Ex Machina."
