With over 20 years of business management experience, Trish is known as a creative visionary leader in the fashion, baby, and home industries. Her career focus is strategic revenue growth through brand and product development, creative design direction, and enhancement of brand integrity. Her efforts continue to result in transitioning evolving brands into globally recognized industry icons.

Currently Trish is the President and CEO of an aggregate of brands that includes the core brand, Little Giraffe and it's Baby and Home Divisions, and two recent acquisitions, popular Gift brand Dammit Dolls, and modern Hair Accessory brand, Twistband. With her direction, the Little Giraffe brands have sustained double digit increases year over year, won multiple awards and achieved international success. The brands have an established A-list celebrity following that includes Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Victoria Beckham.

Prior to her five years with Little Giraffe and its subsidiaries, Trish similarly led the team and managed the brand development of Bebe, a globally recognized retail fashion brand. During her tenure at Bebe, her team executed domestic and international expansion, propelling the Bebe brand to the forefront of the fashion industry. Through Trish's creative strategy, Bebe's sales grew from $1 million to over $100 million a year, positioning the company for a successful initial public offering.

*How has your life experience made you the leader you are today? *
I am the eldest of three girls, so I've really been a leader since my parents arrived at the door with the first of two new babies. I started feeling like the grown-up when I was two! I was the first to try everything, a brave teenager who was not afraid of new experiences and was very independent. I always believed I was capable of anything I set my mind to. I remember it was always assumed that I would be in business. It was the 70s, and my parents were very supportive of women achieving equality in the workplace. It was expected that I would go to college and get a job and be successful. At the same time, I was very creative and gravitated toward the arts. I watched my Dad, who was a photographer at heart, work a progressively successful career as an IT executive in NYC, and spend late nights and weekends in a darkroom he built in the house. He was always working on something creative, even though he had a demanding day job. So that right/left brain function is just part of my DNA. I was initially drawn to the fashion industry because it was a blend of business and the arts. Little Giraffe calls on every cell of my being, creatively and operationally, and in my spare time I am a commissioned portrait artist. You can guess I am capable of functioning on very little sleep!

*How has your previous employment experience aided your position at Little Giraffe? *
Being the EVP of Bebe was an incredible experience. It was a startup, essentially, even though they had been in business for 17 years prior to my coming on board. We had a vision, and there was never any question that we would execute on it, but much of what we did was a first for all of us, and for me, at a young age, it was a bit like being thrown into the frying pan. I now thrive in that kind of environment and definitely am attracted to making sense out of chaos. I love the challenge of building on an idea. I'm a natural editor, and much prefer taking on businesses that need a little TLC, and turning them around, over starting something new. Key to the strategy: building relationships, empowering teams, setting high standards, and steering everyone on course with transparent direction. Bebe was my first real platform to apply that philosophy, and we had great results. Inspiring people to believe in the dream! It was an incredible ride with an amazing team. All of these experiences shaped my views on leadership and helped form my approach today.

*What have the highlights and challenges been during your tenure at Little Giraffe? *
Little Giraffe needed a little support and direction at the beginning, and we quickly set it on course, re-dedicating resources, establishing new distribution channels, expanding product offerings, and really listening to the team and the customers. Over the years, it's been a matter of coming through on the promises we make, standing behind the brand 100%, and keeping it exciting and fresh. We've created an environment where every member of the team believes they are capable of something extraordinary, and every day someone pushes beyond even their own highest expectations. The team also feels a drive to serve the greater good. We have reached out to comfort families who are suffering or experiencing challenges, and have made a difference in lots of little lives- with something as simple as hand delivering a supersoft, cuddly blanket to those in need. Giving back is a big thread in our organization.

*How has Little Giraffe changed the baby industry? *
Oh wow, I wouldn't say we've changed the baby industry... We have contributed to the industry in fresh ways. We have a team of professionals from multiple disciplines that bring a lot to the table. That has allowed us to capitalize on our collective histories and bring a fresh perspective to the segment. We are just taking it one day at a time like everyone else, focused on creating the best products we can, providing the highest quality, luxury and value for young families. We have a unique niche in the marketplace and we build on that every day.

*What advice can you offer women who are seeking to start their own business? *
Don't do it! Haha. All joking aside, I am a huge fan of anyone who takes the leap. It requires enormous stamina, dedication, eye-on-the-ball focus. It's a huge undertaking to start a business or to run one, but passion creates energy, and it can be unstoppable. Remember to put on the oxygen mask when you need it!

*How do you maintain a work/life balance?*
Eye contact with Ruby, my teenage daughter, is a pretty big one. We try to share three positives from our days each evening. Sometimes its hard to come up with them but its always empowering! Putting the phone down. Taking a nightly walk. Decompressing by the pool on the weekends. Studio time for drawing. Cooking a great meal with friends.

*What do you think is the biggest issue for women in the workplace? *
Even though I can remember my parents talking about Gloria Steinem in the '70s and equal rights for women in the workplace as I mentioned, we are still not there 100% and it's 40 years later. Our industry is a more forgiving environment for women, and we are lucky that there is a considerable amount of gender equality. Generally though, I think working women carry a heavier burden, and feel more anxiety in the workplace because they have more to lose. Women who are earners are still primarily tasked with managing the household and the kids. We still have a long way to go.

*How has mentorship made a difference in your professional and personal life?*
I am a big believer in mentoring and have a very collaborative management style. I am open with advice and very approachable. When we bring on interns, they leave well-rounded and empowered. I have been lucky enough to have had great influencers and guides in my own life. Now it is especially important for me to have a solid sounding board, someone who helps me gain perspective. My sister, Melissa, and I are very supportive of each other's careers and life challenges. It's really indispensable to have someone like that in your life.

*Which other female leaders do you admire and why?*
Angela Ahrendts, formerly the CEO of Burberry and now expanding and transforming Apple retail, is one of the great iconic female leaders of our time. I have enormous respect for her and share much of her philosophical approach to business. Coincidentally, we both recently shared the same poem on social media, The Desiderata. We both grew up with it on the wall in our childhood homes, and reread it almost daily. Having recently rediscovered it, we both believe it shaped our core beliefs and was a huge influence on our approach to leadership. Synchronicity!

*What do you want Little Giraffe to accomplish in the next year? *
We recently launched a diffusion brand called LOVE by Little Giraffe. It is available now on Target.com, and in stores at Buy Buy Baby. It will soon reach the full tier of brick and mortar and online retailers. Our goal is to make our luxury, softness and comfort accessible to as many babies as possible, and LOVE is well on the way to accomplishing that! I'd like to walk down a busy street and see LOVE in every stroller, so there's a lot more work in front of us. Reported by Huffington Post 14 hours ago.

11 Celebrities Who Make Wine What does a celebrity who already has everything do?

Buy a winery, of course.

We rounded up celebrity winemakers, some whom have invested in their own vineyard and others who have teamed up with an already established winery to create their own unique collection.

From AC/DC’s "Back in Black Shiraz" to Francis Ford Coppola’s Sophia rosé (named after his daughter), these are the best celebrity wines and winemakers.

Cheers.

-Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Château Mirava, South France -

Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie are the epitome of a power couple. Among their charity projects and awards, Angie and Brad own a $60 million estate and winery in Provence.

Their winery is located at Château Miraval, a 1,200-acre estate in the village of Correns, France. Built in 1841, the French Country manor has 35 rooms and 926 acres of fountains, gardens, and woodlands. It even has a moat.

The couple just released their second award-winning wine this year, a rosé called the Chateau Miraval. The wine, which was was one of Wine Spectator's top 100 wines last year, was released on February 7th and sold out within five hours.

The Château was also the location of their secret wedding.  -Sting and Trudie Styler, Il Palagio, Italy -

Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have their own vineyard just 45 minutes south of Florence where they make organic and "biodynamic" wines.

The 900-acre estate, known as Il Palagio, also has a 16th-century villa with swimming pool, 12 acres of vegetable gardens, around 80 bee colonies, olive groves, and several small lakes.

Their wines are also often named after Sting's songs. The first wine they made was called "Sister Moon," and they also have a wine called "When We Dance."

In addition to wine, Il Palagio also produces honey and organic olive oil. -Francis Ford Coppola, Rubicon Estate Winery, California -

"The Godfather" director is a true oenophile and has produced over 40 wines from his resort in the heart of Alexander Valley, California.

The winery is named the Rubicon Estate Winery and is located in one of Napa Valley’s prime spots. The estate has a wine tasting bar, two restaurants, swimming pools, a movie gallery, a performing arts pavilion, and a park area with game tables and bocce courts.

The winery also produces a rosé called Sophia in honor of his daughter Sophia Coppola.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means we're gearing up for a heavy helping of stuffing, pumpkin pie and the most precious holiday gift of all -- time.

Yes, we are more than excited for every precious moment of the long weekend that awaits us, and equally aware that such stretches of time can occasionally end in most unfortunate ways -- e.g. checking Twitter, checking Instagram, checking Twitter again. To help make your time both relaxing and productive, we've compiled a handy list of the best artist documentaries currently streaming online.

From an outsider artist who recreates his hardships in the segregated South to a Japanese couple attempting to break through the New York art scene, the following stories are jam-packed with passion, struggle, perseverance and overwhelming beauty. The films prove the stories surrounding artists' photographs, paintings, sculptures, performances and everything in between are often as moving as the works themselves.

Enjoy our suggestions for films to watch this Thanksgiving weekend. Hint: They're best served with pie and ice cream.

*1. One Bad Cat (2008) on Hulu *

"You walked through that door and suddenly you realized you were in the presence of someone who was working on a very different frequency than most people."
This is the story of outsider artist Reverend Albert Wagner. Born in Arkansas in 1924 and raised in the segregated South, Wagner sought to translate and transform the black experience through his artworks. The film chronicles Wagner's journey of self-discovery -- how he overcame his demons and vices with divine intervention and a creative passion like no other.*2. Gerhard Richter Painting (2012) on Netflix*

"To talk about painting is not only difficult but perhaps pointless too."
Peek inside the process of one of today's most important living artists, Gerhard Richter, as he continues his lifelong exploration of painting. If you've ever wondered why those abstract works sell for up to $37 million, this beautifully made doc could give you a hint.*3. All Me: The Life and Times of Winfred Rembert (2011) on Hulu *

"It's my dream to go back to my hometown and give a show as somebody. As an artist."
Self-taught artist Winfred Rembert paints his life story, from his childhood memories to civil rights protests to his time in jail. The colorful depictions capture the authentic story of a single life -- a life filled with injustice, hardship, determination and eventually, fulfillment.*4. Kiss The Water (2013) on Netflix *

"Megan Boyd's entire world was wrapped up in her delicate, devastating flies. They were her livelihood, her love, her magic spells, her seduction..."
This gem of a film explores the peculiar passion of Megan Boyd, a fishing fly-maker whose feather, fur, silver and gold creations transformed from fly-fishing materials to mythical works of folk art. Accented with gorgeous hand-painted animation, this documentary ebbs and flows between truth-telling and dreaming.

*5. Black Sun (2005) on Hulu *

"It's a new life. You have to learn everything again, like a little child."
This documentary follows artist Hugues de Montalembert after he was attacked in a random New York City mugging, when a man broke into his house and threw a vial of paint thinner in his face, leaving de Montalembert blind. The beautifully-shot piece follows de Montalembert on his journey to accept his fate and, remarkably, continue making art.*6. Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry (2012) on Netflix*

"Weiwei would put his life on the line for something he believes in..."
You've no doubt heard of Chinese artist and dissident Ai Weiwei. The film follows Ai from 2008 to 2010, while preparing for a museum exhibition, clashing with the Chinese government and taking care of his many cats.*7. Kaziah the Goat Woman (2009) on Hulu *

"I call myself Kaziah the Goat Woman because, if it weren't for goats, I wouldn't be here."
This is the story of Kaziah Hancock, a headstrong woman who escaped an unwanted life of polygamy to pursue her passion for art -- and raising goats. Hancock is a portraitist, who puts her heart and soul into her lifelike creations of fallen soldiers, which she gifts to the families. She's made over 1,200 to date. Bonus: During the filming of this documentary, the artist also had 30 (pregnant) goats on her hands.*8. Waste Land (2010) on Netflix*

"What I really want to do is change the lives of a group of people with the same materials they deal with every day."
New York artist Vik Muniz collaborates with Brazilian garbage pickers working at the world's largest open-air garbage dump, creating monumental, classical photographic portraits made from the trash and the catadores. Muniz donated the money made from the works back to the people of the Jardim Gramacho landfill, changing many lives in the process.*9. Our City Dreams (2008) on Netflix*

"I needed to live in New York, because New York was kind of like the biggest, loudest, dirtiest, most intense city. That's just where I needed to be..."
Explore the lives of five female artists living in New York City: Swoon, Ghada Amer, Kiki Smith, Marina Abramovic and Nancy Spero. Moving seamlessly from Swoon's street art to Abramovic's performance art, from Amer's entangled naked women to Spero's bloody phalluses, the film paints a beautiful moving portrait of the canvas that is NY.*10. Art Star And The Sudanese Twins (2008) on Amazon Prime *

"It's really outrageous how much press and publicity celebrities that are out there -- Angelina Jolie -- going and adopting children. Vanessa’s always been very receptive to that stuff."
This controversial doc shadows conceptual performance artist Vanessa Beecroft on her mission to become the first foreigner in history to legally adopt a pair of Sudanese orphans and incorporate them into her work. The film critically dissects Beecroft's problematic experiment, at once exploitative and fetishistic, while remaining open to the validity of the project.*11. The Woodmans (2010) on Netflix *

"She's a fragile person, and it caused her to make really beautiful pictures."
This film patches together the life of photographer Francesca Woodman, who committed suicide in 1981 at the age of 22. Her family revisits the life and art of an ambitious and vulnerable artist who lived nothing if not intensely.*12. Herblock: The Black & The White (2013) on HBO GO*

"If someone had said, alright, what do you think that guy does for a living? I might have said Vermont pharmacist but I certainly wouldn't have said the most feared editorial cartoonist in the country."
The film follows Herbert Block, editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post, and for over half a century, the "conscience of the country." With commentary by people including Tom Brokaw and Jon Stewart, the documentary celebrates a fearless artist and thinker who always stood up for what he thought was right.*13. Cutie and the Boxer (2013) on Netflix*

"American collectors often say: that's a wonderful image, but not my taste."
Enter the lives of Noriko and Ushio Shinohara, two Japanese artists currently living and making work in New York City. The raw portrait depicts the rough realities living the life of a starving artist, and the heavy toll such a life takes on one's marriage.*14. The Maestro: King of the Cowboy Artists (1995) on Hulu *

"Art is a religion, not a business."
Meet California artist Gerald Gaxiola, also known as The Maestro, an artist slash cowboy who turned to his craft after stints as an aircraft mechanic, traveling salesman, and body builder. The inspirational tale follows a man who stopped working in the traditional sense to find, or create, meaning in his lifetime -- and succeeded.*15. Pablo (2012) on Netflix *

"Something about the essence of Pablo Ferro. He's like certain shamans. He's a true artist."
This documentary, through interviews and the help of some animation, tells the tale of "famously unknown," self-taught graphic designer Pablo Ferro, who designed the opening title sequences for films including "Dr. Strangelove" and "Napoleon Dynamite." The film follows Ferro's progression from a Cuban immigrant to an almost mythical figure in film.*16. Banksy Does New York (2014) on HBO GO*

"It was like a giant scavenger hunt in New York City and we were all pawns. We played along beautifully."

This crowd-sourced documentary chronicles street artist Banksy's "Better Out Than In" residency in October of 2013, during which he took over the city of New York with impromptu artworks and art happenings. Instead of trying to pin down the notoriously elusive artist, the documentary focuses on the public's reaction to the month-long art circus. Reported by Huffington Post 12 hours ago.
